Updated conform a little while ago.
natalie dot net, she has a cute kitten, and a funky 360 degree rotating thing of her room.

Love this, send people some fucked up cards. They’re great, it’s like sending mad libs stuff to people. Courtesy of the people at glassdog.
Woke up early on my saturday morning, one of the few days i don’t have to work, so i could drive up to kingston. Went to queen’s to do an orientation / pre-registration of courses thing. I’m going to do a bachelor of science degree, with a major in computer and information science. So next year i’m taking intro to computer I and II, algebra, calculus, economics and psychology. It looks like my friday is going to be pretty free, yah. Watched dogma again tonite. Still ranked as one of my favourite movies.

The court order for napster to shut down was stayed tonite, so don’t stay in on your friday night to download music.
An exploding yorkshire dog.
Just finished watching Magnolia. I found it a bit on the long side, finishing up around 3 hours. It’s slow moving, but it’s not the same as some of the one’s where you find your ass falling asleep. The movie flip flops around with a very interwoven story line and cast of characters. No real main characters, it’s more like a cast of supporting actors. It was worth watching, one of those movies that an english teacher would probably love.

Conform has been updated again.
Boycott the RIAA buy not buying any of their cd’s from aug 1 - aug 31. But from independent labels, listen to radio and online broadcasts.
Godbless america, the whitehouse.gov is the official site of the residence of the head of state, whitehouse.com is a porn site. Co-incidence? I’m thinking conspiracy, break out the tinfoil helmets.
Kids… they challenge me to find a picture of homer choking bart because they can’t find it. Three minutes tops, geek. …and then mxpx lyrics, when will they learn.
If you’re a huge napster user, you might want to find any songs you want tonite because a judge has ordered an injunction against napster, and it will be shut down friday. It will last until a decision is reached regarding whether or not what they’re doing is illegal. During that time you could try using napigator to connect to outside servers or other filesharing utils like gnutella.

Just updated conform. Two images with this one, pretty sweet. Created by nik and shaun, both of lockjaw fame.
Go check out useless rubbish homes of fun games like the abusive word search and outwit the cossack.
Use allwhois to find out who registered that domain name you wanted. Then you can sign them up for every mailing list you know and they’ll get spammed to death.
People don’t change, how you perceive them does.
After my recent submission for suffocate.org, I was told that the drawings were kind of like the ones at exploding dog. Lots and lots of very simple but effective drawings.
First thing in the morning, hard at work. Haha. Check out famous fonts. Not everything you want, but a lot of stuff there if your interested in doing parody ads or anything like that.
July 25, 2000
Watched The Boondock Saints, it was a cool movie. Lots of great action scenes and some great dialogue. Kind of witty, dry humor. There’s also the whole underlying moral issue about trying to define the fine line between good and evil. The movie finishes and you’re left sitting there wanting more. Hard to tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
Putting the high speed access to good use at work, downloading trailers for various movies and stupid star wars rip-offs.
Time for a break. Teaching the kids html drives you nuts after awhile. It can be hard enough to find your own mistakes. Typical things though, wrong file name, forgot a closing bracket, forgot the slash. Checking out the recent list at blogger, like sippey and eod who is using jason kottke’s design this week.

Just finished watching run lola run. It’s a foreign flick, so don’t watch it if that shit isn’t up your alley. I liked it, doesn’t follow your typical hollywood movie standards. Has some really cool camera work, especially the starting. Amazing soundtrack too, techno/electronic, good stuff. Lola basically has to get a bunch of money and the movie keeps replaying the same scene, although each one is slightly different. Every outcome is affected by small things, it’s really cool. It’ll make sense if you see it.
Watch the world’s population as it goes up and up and up.
Fairly new design from tom srisook, haven’t been there in the last few weeks so i’m not sure how recent, looks good.
July 23, 2000
Found the cat-a-pult over at the stile project, not really a game for cat lovers. It’s along the lines of frog in a blender and other suck things over at atom films.
Hmm, just found a Currency Converter that will convert between any two currencies you want. I also discovered that the Vietnamese currency is called the dong.
Drove up to ottawa tonite, saw Scary Movie. It was allright, fairly typical for a gross-out humor comedy. Not much in terms of subtle humor. Everyone picked up on the scream, i know what you did last summer and dawson’s creek type stuff, don’t know how many people picked up on the usual suspects ending though. As soon as she started to drop the coffee cup i knew what they were doing. On the way home we ended up behind a drunk driver. You could tell, swerving everyonce in awhile, speeding up, slowing down, being a general asshole. Followed him onto the 401, ended up calling the cops and watching him get pulled over, it was fun.

Found arlo jamrog’s site in my bookmarks, hadn’t been there in long time. Nice and clean, wallpapers for download too.
New issue of suffocate, i did a piece for it, the first one i’ve done in a couple issues. Been busy running conform, so i hadn’t gotten around to doing a piece.
Coke has more caffine in it than pepsi, good to know. I’m getting pissed, i use ie and for some reason it’s not letting me into my damn blog, have to use netsape.
July 21, 2000
Poor bastard came home and found out that his house was gone. They stole what was in it and the house itself, crazy.
More random facts, that’s the last thing i need to fill my head with. I have enough of em in there allready.
Ethernet connection here at work, it’s nice, not downloading much because i have no way of getting it off the computer. I’ve been listening to the edge. The quality is ok, it’s like listening to normal radio, it could also be because i have really shitty speakers here.
July 20, 2000
I updated conform tonite. The newest image is one i did, so go check it out.
Go check out the darwin awards, award to people who lost their lives because of the stupid things they did. How many stupid acts have been preceded by the words “hey man, watch this.”
Hey man, you just get finished screwing your neighbours wife? Want to confess and have a million other people know what you’ve been up to? Online confessions, weren’t the original’s a dumb enough idea? You must say 30 h41L m4ry’5 b4 i h4×0r your computer.
Welcome to your first day of the PMS school for men. We will be your guides in trying to understand women. This combined with a new pill that delays menopause will lead to an improved sex life for married men. Blah blah, fuckin with nature, just waitin for the pill that will delay death.
July 19, 2000
Just finished watching The Whole Nine Yards. Good comedy, very dry humour, that’s probably one of the reasons i liked it. If you like Grosse Pointe Blank or Pulp Fiction you’d probably like this one too. All involve hitmen and have a similar type of humor. Listening to wyclef jean - it doesn’t matter, good tune.
Would Ask Jesus be considered blasphemous? Maybe we could ask the pope. Haha, they even have jesus on the colon cam. Who knows, someone’s probably been offended by the site and asked the pope to bring the wrath of god down on these heathens. Go rent dogma.
I could probably get lost on this site. Always had a fascination with how stuff works. It has just about anything you want to know. And now for something a little bit different, we have uglypeople.com.
I’m contemplating moving to seattle, or it could be just be the caffine addiction speaking.
July 18, 2000
Watched What Planet Are You From? tonite. All i can say was this was funny. A lot of women probably wouldn’t find it funny, you can tell it was written by a man. Rent this one tonite.
More tests! You can tell dave has nothing better to do than get paid 8 bucks and hour to take internet tests. Anyways, i’m 58% pure. They deffinitely forgot to put a lot of questions on there, most of it revolved around sex and drug use. Forgot the various things about wanting to kill someone, etc. unless i missed that page.
Just checked out smash status quo. If you’ve picked up a computer mag recently, you’ve probably seen the adobe ads. Not sure what it’d be like on a slower connection. Funky floating stuff in the background and so on. Another one would be defy the rules, it’s along the same lines.
July 17, 2000
The densa test, goes hand in hand with that iq test. I ended up 11/12 screwed up on the pill one. That ranks me as above normal, missed the genius mark dammit.
You can use the dialectizer see my site with a redneck flavour to it. There are a few other ones to choose from too.
So you wanna be a rock superstar and live large…
Apparently, jenny enjoys eating bananas while naked. Although she did have her watch on. Does that count?
July 16, 2000
Woke up, cooked some hamburgers and watched Taxi Driver. Not much to say about it that hasn’t allready been said. It’s a great movie and has some of the classic De Niro lines in it.
Went to Ottawa tonite and saw X-Men. I really enjoyed it, thought it was one of the better summer blockbuster movies i’ve seen. I’m not a hardcore x-men fan, just a little bit of prior knowledge. It was well done and sets up characters and stuff for a franchise. It had different levels of humour too, the ones that everyone laughed at and then some things like on of the last lines that was something like “Their plastic prison will never hold me.” It’ll make sense if you go see the movie.
July 15, 2000
Good article, I like the style of writing. Shows just how crazy and mindless our society can be. Yes smoking is bad for you but a $145 billion lawsuit victory is kind of insane.
Just took an IQ Test, i got 158, not entirely sure how accurate it was. I forgot to keep track of the time, so it was just an estimate of when i think i started.
July 14, 2000
Hmm, might try installing litestep this weekend. I’ve thought about it before, the main thing stopping me is the fact that it’s a family computer (even though they don’t use it much) and that they’ll have no clue what i’ve done. I guess i can always uninstall it.
Just finished watching boiler room. Wasn’t bad, i liked the first half of the movie better, but overall it was fairly well done. The lines that come out of Ben Affleck’s mouth are the best, hilarious. If you get off on swearing, Affleck proceeds almost every word he says with fuck. Now, Affleck isn’t the main character, that would be Giovanni Ribisi. Same cast-typed role, pasty looking guy with hollowed out eyes, sometimes smart, sometimes stupid; always the same. The main problem looking back at it is the secondary focuses in the film involves this middle class guy losing his life savings that was meant for a downpayment on his family’s house. They almost neglect to mention the thousands of other people they screwed over.
July 13, 2000
Yes, i’m bored. The kids are busy working on power point presentations, i’m sitting here on the internet, so are the other counsellors. Apparently, i’m going to due on june 29, 2052 at the age of 70.
American’s consume on average 22 gallons of beers a year. I’d like to see the same study done in canada.
July 12, 2000
New design just went live, hopefully everything is working.
Personally, i’m quite happy that the inventor of the pet rock managed to do something useful and pick up and award for bad writing.
More time to browse the internet. Not as busy this week, don’t have to help the older kids out as much. Found an article about the differences between digital cameras and film cameras. It’s interesting if you’ve thought about getting one or the other.
July 11, 2000
Eminem’s wife attempts suicide. Now who is really surprised by this?
Exploring the national post site and came across an article on the big brother show. Reality television, for those of you with a penchant for voyeurism but who don’t want to admit it. You’re not watching to see how other people live, you’re watching to see how badly other people fuck up their own lives. You’re not sitting there going oh wow, they’re eating! Nah, you’re like man when are those two going to have sex, i want to see a fight, haha, that guy hates the other guy. These poor bastards have to live together for 3 months and have all their actions analyzed and criticized for a shot at half a million dollars. I’d probably take the who wants to be a millionaire route instead. Of course both big brother and survivor propel people with everyday lives into newfound celebrity status. That’s probably why they’re there.
July 10, 2000
At computer camp. Not teaching at the moment so i’m hanging out on the internet. What a geek. here’s what i’m getting myself into next year. Gonna to be a full time geek, yah!
July 9, 2000
Well, there’s a new book in the harry potter series. Do i care? Not one bit. The only bright side of this is that it’s made kids want to read. When i was around 13 I read the hobbit and the lord of the rings. Those were well written. I’ve always been an avid reader. It’s hard to put a good book down, would you watch 15 minutes of a movie, stop it and the start it again the next night and so on? Nope, same thing with books.
Here’s a pic that i received through the email today. At the pre-grad party, decked out in my tux.
July 8, 2000
Parents are gone to see a expos game tontie, i opted out, have a bunch of stuff to get done. Mental has been redesigned, looks great, you can tell that errol’s been influenced by the work of jay and harsh over at final.
Just finished watching the green mile. It wasn’t bad. I found it a tad on the long side personally. Wild Bill was funny as hell and Percy was everything you wanted to hate. Some of the parts were overacted and too much time was spent watching the damn mouse. Overall it was worth seeing, but i still want to see the hurricane by norman jewison at somepoint. To see which one seemed more worthy of an Oscar nomination. Of course we know that green mile got the nomination and there was some controversy over it. Time to get sleep.
July 7, 2000
Hmm, updating from school. Have some free time. Friday is nice, all the kids are busy working on their power point presentations that will get presented after lunch. Go check out if they mated, kinda funny. Time for lunch.
July 6, 2000
Well, this link is courtesy slashdot, but i thought it was funny as hell. Gas powered shoes eh? Only a crazy russian scientist would come up with that.
Nothing much new and exciting these days. Spend the day teaching at computer camp, should probably load up blogger and put some sites down or something when i have some free moments. Not that there are many, those little kids have their hands up all the time. The new design is up at Conform so go check it out if you haven’t seen it allready. That’s about it for now.
July 4, 2000
Just finished watching Pi. Saw something about it a while ago and have wanted to see it. It’s labelled as a thriller and holds up, but doesn’t leave you hanging as badly as Ronin or Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I’ve always liked math so i found that side of the movie fascinating. It’s kind of obvious why Max is going nuts though. Anyway, i liked the movie and would recommend it to people who don’t feel like watching your standard Hollywood fare.
The tea party was in town last night, playing the last night of riverfest. Not a bad show. I didnt pay anything to get in, free concerts are always better. Second day of teaching down, it’s not that bad. A lot of bullshitting really, just standing up there and winging it.
July 2, 2000
Hmm, yesterday was grad. I wore a tux and went to the pre-grad party, did the dinner thing and then went to the post grad. A night of drinking, havent done that in a while. The evening was a lot of fun, i guess the last thing we really do as a grade. Too many beers, every once in awhile i remind myself why i dont drink often. Maybe i needed it. Exam stress, yearbook stress, new job. Who knows. Don’t normally deal with stress by drinking. A well. Going to watch a movie or part of one, then get some sleep.
